Precautionary measures for Village of Little Chute Facilities to prevent spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Post Date: March 16th, 2020
The Village of Little Chute is taking proactive steps to protect the health of our community by making recommendations that are meant to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community and reduce the number of people infected.
The steps we are implementing will impact people in our community. We are making these recommendations in consultation with public health experts and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) based on the best information we have, to protect the health of everyone in our community. We know these measures are a proven strategy that can play a critical role in slowing an outbreak of the Coronavirus Outagamie County.
For any business that needs to be conducted at Village Hall, we ask people to consider visiting our website or calling the appropriate office, rather than visiting in person if possible. We are not turning visitors away. However, we want to limit person to person contact as much as possible. For a full listing of personnel and appropriate contact information, please visit our staff directory here: http://www.littlechutewi.org/directory.aspx
For residents, you can pay Village of Little Chute utility invoices on our website http://www.littlechutewi.org/528/Utility-Billing-Payments, drop off payments in our drop box (located on the Grand Avenue entrance), or mail them to Village of Little Chute, 108 W. Main Street, Little Chute WI 54140.
For contractors, we are still processing all permits, forms and documents as normal. We ask that you consider ways to conduct business with staff in a virtual manner or over the phone where possible.
For Village Board and committee meetings, the meetings are still open to the community, but we encourage people to consider sharing any feedback with Village Board members via email or phone call: http://www.littlechutewi.org/59/Meet-the-Village-Board. You can also contact Village President Mike Vanden Berg at email@example.com and we will forward those comments to the Village Board. In addition, you can contact the Village Administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org or 920-423-3850 (office).
For voting in the spring general election on April 7, we encourage people to request an absentee ballot to vote by mail. You can request one from the state at myvote.wi.gov. For those without internet access, you can contact our Village Clerk’s office at 920-423-3852 for assistance. As of March 16th, in-person absentee voting at Village Hall starts March 23 as scheduled and polling locations will still be open and operating normally for anyone who prefers to vote in person on Election Day.
We have cancelled or postponed the following services and programs for now:
