The Village crew started their annual leaf collection the week of October 5th.

Raking leaves into the roadway increases pollution of storm water and may cause flooding by blocking drainage structures.  It is also a safety hazard for vehicles and leaf piles are a dangerous attraction to young children

Leaves will be vacuumed, so please DO NOT include brush, stalks or waste larger than the size of an apple as it may clog the equipment.  Pile loose leaves in an open area of the terrace away from trees, posts, mailboxes, refuse & recyclable carts, fire hydrants, utility poles, etc.  If possible, remove parked vehicles from the roadway during the collection period.  Collection will happen until the snow accumulates or December 1st.
