LITTLE CHUTE – September 9, 2021

At a Committee of the Whole meeting of the Little Chute Village Board on September 8, 2021, the Village Board approved the appointment of Beau Bernhoft as the Village Administrator. Mr. Bernhoft assumes his duties on October 11, 2021. His appointment follows a national search for the replacement of Village Administrator James Fenlon, who accepted a position with U.S. AutoForce in July 2021.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to be the next Little Chute Village Administrator,” stated Bernhoft. “The Village Board works cohesively and the staff is exceptionally talented. I look forward to joining the team and becoming part of this welcoming community.“

Bernhoft has served as the Village Administrator/Zoning Administrator for the Village of Sister Bay, WI since 2019.

During Bernhoft’s tenure in Sister Bay, he assisted the community in attracting new developments including Door County Medical Center’s satellite facility and a 47-room hotel, Dorr Hotel. He successfully negotiated the $2.4 million acquisition of a 17-acre waterfront parcel for parkland expansion with most of the funding from federal, state, and local grants. He also oversaw several infrastructure projects including the $6.5 million wastewater treatment plant upgrades and the marina upgrades.

Bernhoft earned a Master of Public Administration at University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy and Administration at University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.

According to Village President Michael Vanden Berg, “The Village Board looks forward to Mr. Bernhoft’s leadership in managing the organization and guiding the community through its next phase of growth.”
