What do I do if I have recycling that will not fit in my container?
All recyclables must fit loosely into your recycling container with the lid closed. You may crush your cans, plastic jugs, and bottles if necessary. Be sure to "break down" and flatten boxboard and cardboard boxes. A few large cardboard boxes may be flattened and cut to no larger than 3ft X 3ft and placed under the lid of the card. If you have overflow recyclables, you may save for futures collection, ask a neighbor if they have extra room in their cart, or bring items to Outagamie County drop-off site located at 1419 Holland Road, Appleton (open Monday thru Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm and Saturday from 7:00am to 11:00am).
